OVERFLOWING EP is a 6-track music EP by Nsay ki la, featuring Vernsai Sany, Yaa-ki, and MCV. It is a collection of devotional songs of praise, worship, and thanksgiving. A large part of the lyrics is directly drawn from the Holy Bible.The EP explores varied genres such as folk, afrobeats, makossa, and cinematic music.

Three languages are employed: English, French, and Lamnso’. Having as producers Marc Eff of Kovapot, Dijay Kay and Nsay ki la, this EP is one that you will want to have and to listen to every now and then. OVERFLOWING EP is a work of art that will endure for generations; immortal songs that will accompany you at any moment.

Overflowing EP by Nsay ki la: Time to pray

The OVERFLOWING EP by Nsay ki la takes you away from a kind of prayer to which we are too accustomed: petition and intercession. It is true that we need many things, and God has said we can ask him and we shall be given. However, it’s not always about asking.

The EP turns our attention ultimately to God. The songs will lead you to focus your gaze on who God is, and what to call him; it will lead you to praise and worship him, and then end in thanksgiving and dance.

Praise, Worship, Thanksgiving

That is what the OVERFLOWING EP is about: Praise, Worship, and Thanksgiving. Asking God for things will be for another time. When you hit the “play” button on any of the songs, it puts you into a disposition of prayer that is focused on God.

Even though the song “Overflowing” is asking God to fill us, in reality, when you check the lyrics, it is putting us into God. We want to have his blessings, mercy, and love surround us till we are overflowing with him.

That track, therefore, is talking to God. The same is Taata Ee! It is directed to God, worshiping him with the name “Taata” in Lamnso’, which means “Father” or “Lord”. The third and fourth tracks are directed to him as well, while the last two are about him, contemplating and thanking.

Songs from Heaven

Even though there are Biblical phrases immersed here and there in the entire project, OVERFLOWING EP by Nsay ki la has two tracks that are directly from the Book of the Apocalypse. As you will remember, this book contains the vision of St John, of a heavenly liturgy.

Tracks 3 and 5 are taken from some of these words which John heard in his vision. These are words used to glorify and worship God in the heavenly realm. The music of the OVERFLOWING EP helps us join in this heavenly worship.

The song WE PRAISE YOU is from Revelations 4:11a and Revelations 5:12, 13b. What is sung in Lamnso’ is exactly from these texts as well. WU DZE E RANEN, as long as it seems, is only from half a verse: Revelations 4:8b.

Therefore, singing with the OVERFLOWING EP is singing songs from heaven!
