HURRAY ALLEUIA
Artist: Nsay ki la
Status: Single
Released Date: 13 October 2021
Record Lable: Indie
Description:
This song is most fitting as an acclamation before the Gospel on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Big Day Maria). The vesicle talks about the Incarnation. This is precisely because any honour given to Mary is on account of her being the Mother of God.
The composer of this song is unknown. An available sol-fa script of the song has the harmony of Yousembom-Sintieh Emile. What Nsay ki la did was to record it as it is, only adjusting some little grammar for the sake of Theological clarity and correctness. For example: instead of “Mary assumed into heaven”, he used “Mary’s assumed into heaven”. And in place of “King David descent”, he rather performed “King David’s descent”.
The style of the song is Njang. It is performed in a very close to natural way, and anyone from the grasslands of Cameroon can easily relate.
