Description:

Jubilees are a time of celebration and thanksgiving. This is how the song ‘HAPPY 40’ came about. It celebrates the Priestly ordination of Mgr George Nkuo, Bishop of Kumbo, after forty years of Priestly service. The song wishes well, and at the same is a prayer for him.

Mgr Nkuo was ordained by Mgr Pius Awa on 26 April 1981 in Small Soppo, Buea, as a priest of the Diocese of Buea. That is why this song was released on the eve of the 40th anniversary. The song in Afrobeats is in English, with a little of the Kom language, the Bishop’s language, thrown in here and there.

The song was written by Nsay ki la. Fara wo Milan (Fr. Joseph Dufe, O.F.M. Cap) wrote his own verse. The song was produced by Marc Eff of Kovapot.
